PA or NP needed 60 miles from Duluth, MN. PRACTICE SPECIFICS:
This is a team based patient centered care in a rural clinic, high clinical quality, community health focus. The department team is made up of 8 Physicians, 3 APRN/PA's and 15 additional staff: CA's, RN's - additional support departments including: Lab, Radiology, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy.
Effectively manage chronic disease including clinical management, relationship building, patient education, activation and engagement as part of the primary care team.
Utilizing advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals.
Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
Desired Skill set/Scope of Practice: Family Medicine Focus, Joint Injections, Sport Medicine, Dermatology, and Tobacco Cessation Counseling
Other Skills Preferred-Needed: Leadership, Everyone is expected to be a leader, Teaching/Mentoring. Estimated Patients seen a day: 16-21 Patients Estimated Procedures a day: 0-1 Education/Experience: PA: Bachelor?s degree in a health/science-related field. NP: Master?s degree in nursing.
Licensure/Credentials 1. Current licensure as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner in appropriate state. (NP) Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state. 2. Current certification in CPR. 3. National certification. 4. Successful completion of SMDC credentialing process prior to practice. 4. National certification in applicable area. 5. Successful completion of SMDC credentialing process prior to practice.
