We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for an outpatient practice located in the New Haven area. We are thriving and are looking to expand our practice by adding an additional provider. The ideal candidate would be someone who likes to collaborate with the team to properly diagnose patients and offer them solutions to lead a better life.

When you join our team, you will be working with a cohesive, knowledgeable staff where you will be respected and valued as a professional. Our practice has four MD’s and three other providers. Duties include assessment and evaluation of patients in an outpatient practice.

Responsibilities:

1. Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.

2. Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.

3. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.

4. Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations; suturing; managing wounds and infections.

5. Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information; discussing family planning; providing counseling on emotional problems of daily living; promoting wellness and health maintenance.

6. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

7. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

8. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

9. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

10. Develops health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.

11. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.



• Schedule is Monday-Friday, one possible evening and one possible rotation Sat

• Salary range $85-100K

• CME reimbursement up to $1500/year

• Must be eligible for CT license
