Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Overview:
Hutchinson Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is a 200 bed trauma center located in Hutchinson, Kansas. HRMC treats approximately 24,000 patients in the 19 bed emergency department annually. HRMC is accredited by The Joint Commission, has an Emergency Stroke Ready designation, and Health Grades top award for Patient Safety in 2012 and 2013. Physicians work 12 hour shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a) and there are 12 hours of APC coverage per day. The hospital provides a full range of medical services, including:
Inpatient Acute Rehab Unit
Heart & Vascular Center
Skilled Nursing Unit
The Women’s and Children’s Center
Chalmers Cancer Center
Sleep Diagnostic Center
Wound Care Center
Requirements:
Unrestricted Kansas Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
DEA License with Kansas registration
Board Certification (NCCPA, AANP or ANCC). Nurse practitioners must be Board Certified to care for all age ranges of patients.
American Heart Association ACLS, BLS & PALS certifications
1 year of Emergency Medicine experience

2 years of primary care experience

Dillon Nature Center is located on 100 acres in northeast Hutchinson. This Nation Urban Wildlife Sanctuary showcases both plant and wildlife. Compensation:
Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) are employees of VEP. They receive an hourly base rate and an opportunity to earn productivity compensation at specific sites. APCs are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, vision, dental, and life insurance, profit sharing, 401k, CME and license allowances. Our APCs also enjoy the benefit of flexible schedules, paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage and the opportunity to become a shareholder which allows them to become actively involved in the governance of the company.
