Contractor Physician’s Assistant (PA) shall:
• Be a graduate of a PA accredited program recognized by the United States and meet VA professional and physical requirements as set forth in MP-5, Part II, Chapter 2, Appendix F and VA Directive 5102.1 dated November 10, 1999.
• Maintain an active, current, and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia as a Physician Assistant.
• Possess a minimum of one (1) year experience within the preceding three (3) years in an outpatient, Emergency Department environment.
• Possess certification as a Physician Assistant as determined by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Be certified in American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Be a U.S. citizen or be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and have the ability to communicate, understand, read and write English proficiently.
• Not have had a medical license revoked or limited by a State, Territory, Commonwealth or the District of Columbia.
• Not be pending or have had past felony charges against him/her.
