This 23 bed emergency department is open 24/7 and is equipped to meet the needs of the community.

The Medical Center of Southeast Texas is a 224 bed facility that is fully accredited by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). DNV evaluates the safety and quality of care provided by healthcare organizations around the world. DNVs National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (NIAHO) service is the first new federally-approved accreditation program in more than 30 years. DNV utilizes the first hospital accreditation program in the United States that integrates the internationally recognized ISO 9001 Quality Management System with the Medicare Conditions of Participation. The Medical Center of Southeast Texas has also received the Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Silver Award from TMF Health Quality Institute, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Texas. Services include: Catherization Lab, CAT scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Plastic Surgery, Hyperbarics, Pediatrics, Neurodiagnostic Services, Labor & Delivery, Heart Center, and Wound Care
