Love the big city life? Then Phoenix is the place to be! As the capital, and largest city, of the U.S. state of Arizona, as well as the sixth most populous city in the United States of America, Phoenix offers something for everyone including exhilarating adventure and enriching and vibrant arts and culture scene. The area’s natural beauty offers rugged mountain ranges, Saguaro cacti that tower over relaxing hiking trails, and spectacular, breathtaking sunsets. Housing prices are affordable with the median house price in Greater Phoenix around $135,000. The various corners of the Valley offer distinct vibes and perspectives for their residents.
p<. Sunny weather is the number one reason people come to Greater Phoenix. According to data compiled by the National Climatic Data Center, Greater Phoenix basks in sunshine during 85 percent of the daylight hours. The average annual temperature is 72 degrees, and the average annual high is 85 degrees and it doesn’t rain much — less than 8 inches a year—which means the weather is ideal for hiking, lounging poolside or watching a spring training baseball game. With all that it has to offer, the city of Phoenix is a great place to live and work.
