Knowledge from previous experience working as an emergency department medical provider is essential. A minimum of 12 months of experience is strongly desired - TRAUMA CENTER.
12 hour shifts Urgent care Fast track) 2 days a week in the ER.
VERY HIGH ACUITY
Work 14 on/ 14 off
The PA/NP must possess skill in making diagnoses and in choosing, initiating and modifying selected therapies, and ability to provide emergency treatments.
Competent skill in performing simple laceration repair, casting/ splinting, and in other ER or urgent care- related procedures.
Must have skill in the management of simple fractures.
Must be able to assess emergency medical conditions for medical screening examinations for acceptable medical care.
ATLS Required
Must possess extensive knowledge of disease entities. Knowledge of diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic procedures related to a variety of medical and health care fields to include OB/GYN, ENT, pediatric, orthopedics, internal medicine, mental health, dental, emergency medicine, surgery (minor), and nutrition . QUALIFICATIONS: Active license from any state
Must be a graduate of a certified Physician Assistant program, or if a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and possess nationally-recognized certification in their specialty.
