Physician Assistant or Physician Assistant- Lead
The Section of Critical Care is seeking a licensed Advanced Care Practitioner to partner with 12 multidisciplinary Critical Care physicians and to lead a team of Advanced Care Practitioners as they care for medical and surgical patients admitted to the intensive care units. The Lead Advanced Care Practitioner will work the majority of time providing longitudinal coordination of inpatient care including discharge planning, palliative and preventive care, wound care, and quality improvement. The primary responsibilities of the Lead Advanced Care Practitioner are the direct application of clinical expertise to patients and families being managed in a tertiary care teaching medical center, including responsibility for maintaining quality of care standards for all procedures performed and all clinical care provided to a specified patient population and management and direct supervision of associate provider staff.
Advanced Care Practitioners are fully integrated into the ongoing functions of this Section, such as Journal Club, Research Projects, Teaching Rounds, and Quality Improvement Projects.
This is a full-time, salaried, benefited position. Schedule is variable with some on-call responsibilities.
This position holds a faculty rank at the level of Instructor through our School of Medicine.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Masters prepared with 5-7 years of Critical Care Advanced Practice clinical experience. Demonstrated leadership skills and management experience required.
Requirements fs:
RN and APRN currently (or eligible) licensed in NH. Successful completion of an approved PA program. BC PA. Master's level education required
