QuarterLine Consulting Services (QuarterLine) provides professional health care staffing services to military hospitals and health clinics across the United States. We are currently seeking full-time Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistants for positions at Travis AFB in California (Fairfield, CA/San Francisco Bay Area).
Responsibilities:
The PA will provide specialty medical care in cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgery under supervision of a physician. The PA will work in the Operating Room and the Clinic; average work week will be 40 hours, with occasional evenings and weekends. If additional hours are worked, the PA will be compensated. Call is 1/4 weekdays and 1/4 weekends. Emergency call is also required on a rotating basis (1/2 nights). The majority of call is telephonic, however if the PA is called into the facility additional compensation is provided.
Qualifications:
Must have at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years as a surgical physician assistant, and 1 year of which must be in cardiac and thoracic surgery; and specialized medical treatments and procedures, such as endoscopic vein harvesting. Be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Training Program accredited by the ARC-PA Certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA is required Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Unrestricted license in any U.S. State or Territory. Completion of an additional training, residency or fellowship program in Cardiac surgery acceptable to the Surgeon General, HQ USAF is mandatory.
