**Urology opening in Kentucky - H1b eligible** * Located in ***Hazard, KY*** - just 110 miles from Lexington, KY! * Service area of 50,000 people * Full-time, permanent opening * Hospital-employed position * Currently 3 Urologists on staff * They do primarily bread and butter cases, cystoscopy, lase lithotripsy, some nephrectomies and ESWL * Shared moderate call (on average 10 days or so a month) * Block scheduled time in the OR and designated clinic days * Office building is located adjacent to the hospital, so it is very convenient to round on your patients and such before clinic * ***H1b visa candidates accepted!*** * Competitive compensation with RVU bonus structure * Starting bonus * Education loan forgiveness plan * Stipend consideration * Relocation allowance * Great comprehensive benefits package that includes: Health, Dental and Vision * 403(b) retirement plan * PTO 29 days annually * CME reimbursement and 5 additional PTO days * Malpractice coverage * Long-term disability **Hospital:** * A 358-bed acute care hospital. * Has most specialties, including: General Surgery, GI, Pulmonology, Urology, Infectious Disease, Orthopedics, Nephrology, OBGYN, Podiatry and more * A 32-bed open ICU * 24-bed Emergency Department * 9 Operating Rooms * Trialed the Da Vinci a few years back, but it was not used very much by physicians. It might be something we would consider in the future however * Medical students from the University of Pikeville School of Osteopathic Medicine and Lincoln Memorial University do rotations * A family practice residency program through the University of Kentucky and are currently exploring a surgical residency program **Community:** Located in beautiful southeastern Kentucky, Hazard is known as the "Queen City of the Mountains." Hazard is the county seat of Perry County, which has a population of approximately 30,000 residents. Rich in natural resources, Hazard and Perry County's history is tied to the coal and lumber industries.
