Michigan facility is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Urologist to join our team on a locum tenens basis. The ideal candidate will be proficient in general urology, with expertise in procedures such as Ureteroscopy, TRUS Biopsies, and Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL). This position involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, including coverage for Level 2 Trauma cases.



Job Responsibilities

• Patient Demographics: Peds - 1%, Adult - 80%, Geriatric - 19%
• Inpatient vs. Outpatient: 10% Inpatient, 90% Outpatient
• Average Daily Patient Load: 15-20 office/clinic patients
• Average Daily Surgeries: 1-2 emergent, 6-8 on elective surgery days
• Procedures: General Urology, Ureteroscopy, TRUS Biopsies, ESWL
• Office Equipment: PVR and Uroflow, disposable cystoscopes, bladder scanner
• EMR: Cerner

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited university
• Board certification in Urology
• Valid state medical license
• Proven experience in general urology and related procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Working Hours

• 24 Hour Beep Call: Including potential for emergent calls/visits after hours
• Clinic Hours: 0800-1700, with potential for emergent calls/visits after hours
