We are actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our esteemed healthcare team in Rapid City, SD. As a full time member of our orthopedic trauma department, the successful candidate will bring specialized expertise in managing traumatic musculoskeletal injuries.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree and completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency program.
  • Fellowship training or significant experience in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery.
  • Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Licensure to practice medicine in the state of South Dakota.

Responsibilities:

Orthopedic Trauma Surgery: Perform a broad range of orthopedic trauma surgeries, including complex fracture repairs, soft tissue injuries, and emergency procedures. Demonstrate proficiency in trauma care protocols and interventions.

Patient Care: Conduct thorough assessments, diagnosis, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with orthopedic trauma conditions. Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Collaboration: Collaborate with trauma surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated trauma care. Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and contribute to the development of trauma care protocols.

Education: Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and healthcare staff in the area of orthopedic trauma surgery. Stay informed about the latest advancements in orthopedic trauma care and share knowledge within the team.
