General Surgery Leadership Opportunity in Metro Philadelphia, PA!!
Hospital in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a BE/BC General Surgeon to serve as the Chair of their Department of Surgery. Candidates will need to be General Surgery capable in call schedule.
This candidate must possess a combination of operational and educational guidance, as well as, a clear vision for strategic growth of the department.
Education - The chair will provide educational oversight to our residents and mid-level providers, as well as, clinical leadership to our surgical staff.
Operations - The chair will oversee the day-to-day activities and functions of the department and will serve on the hospital’s executive committee. He or she will also provide clinical leadership and oversight to the department members, as well as, collaboration between various clinical departments.
Strategic growth - The chair will lead the department’s growth and strategic direction in alignment with the hospital’s growth strategy and the needs of the community.
Hospital is licensed for 130 beds and has a 20 bed Geriatric Psychiatry facility. Hospital is nestled in a lovely community inside the Philadelphia city limits and is only 98 miles from New York City and 145 miles from Washington DC.
