Job Responsibilities

A practice with Salem Health offers:

Minimal call requirements.
An established patient base due to upcoming succession planning.
Opportunity to quickly establish a 100% sports medicine practice.
High volume of shoulder, knee, and hip arthroscopy cases.
Advance Practice Provider support in clinic and OR.
Blocked OR time two days a week.

As a member of our Orthopedic Department, you demonstrate your commitment to always providing the best care to all patients. We are seeking a sports surgeon who is committed to evidence-based diagnosis and treatment and hold yourself to the highest standards of professionalism and team-based care. You partner with both clinical and support services team members to ensure careful diagnosis and treatment is offered with what is best for the patient and their family in mind, together with stewardship of the organization’s resources to achieve sustainable and stable healthcare for our communities.

Qualifications

You may be a qualified candidate if you:

Degree of Doctor of Medicine or doctor of osteopathy or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine at an American Committee on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) 
Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency 
Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Orthopedic Sports Medicine fellowship.

 

Licenses/ Certification/ Registration:

Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon.
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Orthopedic Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Qualifies for and continuously maintains privileges and membership on the Salem Health Medical Staff.
