**General Surgeon Opening - John Day, OR** Located in beautiful Grant County, Oregon **Position Information:** - Full or Part-Time - Critical Access Hospital/Surgery Clinic - Duties include surgery clinic, operating room, and on-call services. - Clinic patient volume is approximately 22 patients per week, with opportunity for expansion. - Surgical procedures are a typical mix of general surgery, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and emergency/trauma cases. - On-call services entail general surgery and trauma call, plus rounding on surgery patients. - This position typically serves as Trauma Medical Director, with overall oversight for our Trauma program. - Provides oversight and educational guidance of the surgery team and assists with best practices with the Clinic Director and Operating Room Lead and/or Director of Nursing Services. - Board certification is preferred, board eligible with experience considered. - In-house staff will work with you to obtain all hospital privileging and coordinate credentialing needs. **Compensation and Benefits:** - Compensation Structure: Base Salary, plus potential to establish a wRVU bonus after 1 year of baseline work. Quality metrics bonus will also be offered. - Sign-on bonus: Up to 50K - Relocation allowance: 10K (separate from sign-on bonus) - CME allowance: 8K-10K, with 2 weeks (10 full days) of CME available - PTO: 6 weeks (30 business days), plus 6 paid holidays - Loan forgiveness: 25K per year in accordance with District program for physicians - Additional Benefits: Benefits for employees (including providers) include medical, dental, vision, disability and 403b and 457b retirement. **About the Community:** - Located in Grant County, Oregon, at the heart of the John Day River, in beautiful, rural, Eastern Oregon.
