The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a unified department across two campuses, Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx. Both facilities are members of NYC Health + Hospitals, the largest public health system in the country, and serve the diverse community in the surrounding neighborhoods of the Bronx and lower Westchester County. Jacobi and North Central Bronx (NCB) are major clinical affiliates and teaching sites of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and have recently developed a teaching relationship with City University of New York. Jacobi is a 457-bed tertiary referral center with a level 3 NICU. NCB is a 232-bed community hospital with a loyal patient following.

The faculty represent all specialties within OBGYN including MFM, Genetics, Gynecology Oncology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Urogynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology. We have a collaborative practice model with Midwives practicing full scope Midwifery and Physician Assistants supporting the antepartum and perioperative services. We have an affiliation with academic Montefiore and train their residents and MIGS fellows. The hospital is well-equipped surgically and has both a fully functional operating room and an ambulatory surgical area for shorter cases. Additionally, the hospital has committed to acquiring a robot for advanced cases in the future.

Responsibilities:

This is a full time position focused on using minimally invasive approaches to managing a wide variety of benign gynecologic conditions including fibroids, abnormal bleeding, chronic pain, adnexal masses, and endometriosis. The position involves resident education and surgical skills training with opportunities to work with fellows from Albert Einstein College of Medicine program.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral Degree (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Current or eligible for a New York State License
  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to hire

Compensation:

  • Min USD: $315,000.00 Annually
  • Max USD: $325,000.00 Annually
