  • Call coverage needed, ongoing as soon as credentialed.
  • No specific dates are provided until provider has accepted an offer.
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday, some vacation week day call coverage 5p-6a
  • Hospital based
  • 100% Adult
  • 10-15 hospital based patients on average per day
  • PPD: 1-2 Admissions, 8-10 ICU, 1-2 Surgeries
  • 400 Total number of beds
  • 12 ICU Beds
  • 2 Physicians in practice, 5 Mid-levels
  • Reason for coverage: change in staffing, looking to backfill
  • Level 1 trauma
  • EMR: Epic
  • 2 Physicians needed
  • Required to supervise and provide clinical oversight as appropriate while on call.
  • No other thoracic surgeons will be present during locum call coverage.
  • 90 day credentialing timeframe
Required Procedures:
  • General CV/Thoracic Surgery - open
  • Coronary artery bypass surgery - on pump & Off-pump
  • Congenital defects (ASD< VSD, PFO, etc.)
  • Valvular Repair & replacement
  • Aneurysm Repair - Cardiac & Aorto-thoracic
  • ECMO Cannulation and Patient stabilization for transport to academic center in Denver.
Preferred Procedures:
  • Evaluation and management of acute vol /BP issues
  • Insertion of Central Line, Arterial Line, PA catheter, IABP

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Board Certified Cardiovascular Surgery (ABMS/AOA) - Required
  • Active Colorado License or active IMLC - Required
  • Active BLS, ACLS - Required
  • Must note provider is able to perform all required procedures - REQUIRED
  • Clean background/no malpractice - Required
  • COVID vaccinated - Required, note at time of name clear

  • Board Certified
