This is a 1 year locum contract to be performed at the Chinle, AZ Indian Health Service
Job Responsibilities
The contractor shall provide consultant services to other department heads and visiting/contract physician to interpret radiological findings and assist in determining appropriate methods and extent of treatments necessary. The contractor shall provide only plain films at Tsaile and Pinon Health Stations.
The contractor's routine duties shall include providing medical care and public health services to individuals eligible for services provided by the IHS in homes, schools, clinics, job sites, and other community locations within the service unit.
The contractor shall contact the ordering physician immediately if the interpretation of a study suggests a significant health risk to the individual. All other x-ray discrepancies (without major clinical significance) will be documented through a reporting system established in the Department of Radiology.
Qualifications
-Minimum 6 months experience
-Board certified with the American Board of Radiology
-DEA, CPR, BLS, ACLS and PALS are required
