McLaren Bay Region is recruiting a Pulmonary & Critical Care physician to join an employed practice in Bay City, Michigan. This position provides autonomy in building your own practice while providing a full spectrum of Pulmonary and Critical Care services. The ideal candidate will have an interest in bedside procedures. Mentorship of new graduates is available. Board certification is required. No J1 Waivers currently. Additional highlights include:

Schedule includes 7 days ICU coverage, 7 days off, 7 days inpatient service, 7 days outpatient clinic

  • ICU rotation is 1:4
  • Night call supported through our hospitalist program
  • Rounding at McLaren Bay Special Care Long-Term Acute Care Hospital
  • Position includes satellite coverage at our Caro and West Branch locations

McLaren Bay has a 32 bed ICU intensivist program, including CCU and neuro and full diagnostic capabilities. Additional services include EBUS, pulmonary rehab, and access to ERCP. Cerner EMR is utilized in both hospital and outpatient settings.

Additional privileging will be required at the long-term acute care hospital located less than five miles from McLaren Bay Region. McLaren Bay Special Care is a 31-bed long-term acute care hospital specializing in the care and treatment of patients with complex medical needs that requires lengths of stay greater than 25 days. The experienced staff are highly trained and use a team approach to provide intensive, individualized treatment.
