Shift: Full-time Monday-Friday, including 36 patient contact hours per week
Practice Description:
- Candidates must be experienced and Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
- Experience managing medical cases and a great team player who is comfortable working with an interdisciplinary care team including nurses, physicians, and therapists.
- Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit has been providing the community comprehensive rehabilitation for over 35 years and currently is a 9-bed department including an independent living apartment.
- The unit has the potential for immediate growth up to 17 beds.
- Patients in the rehabilitation unit range in age from 18 years to geriatrics.
- Common diagnoses seen on the unit include stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury, Guillain Barre syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, major multiple traumas, cardiac & orthopedic conditions, and other conditions causing impairments in functional areas.
- The schedule for this is full-time, Monday-Friday, which includes 36 patient contact hours per week.
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) - REQUIRED
- Iowa license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Previous experience practicing PM&R - REQUIRED
