Job Summary
Job Description
Located on the Central-Coast of California, halfway between LA and San Francisco, PCR Oncology is a 3-provider, physician-owned practice. Dr. Palchak started the practice in 1994, has been asked to expand and is seeking a hematologist/oncologist looking for an attractive work-life balance.
Dr. Palchak remains the sole owner of the corporation and is looking for the next-generation of medical oncologists to take over the practice. He has designed a no-cost, short path to partnership in a practice that has grown 40% in the last year.
We have a highly experienced team with median length of stay of >7-years among our staff. The long length-of-stay of our staff means that the practice runs very smoothly.
PCR Oncology works closely with a non-profit (the Jacqualyn Palchak Cancer Fund) to expand services for local cancer patients, including funding for the research program. We are a member in good standing of the NCI’s Community Oncology Research Program and have access to many NCI-sponsored clinical trials as a result.
The short path to partnership makes this opportunity attractive:
· For oncologists working for big corporations who have thought they could run a better practice.
· For oncologists working for oncology divisions that would become unprofitable without 340B discounts.
· For oncologists with interest in running their own practice their way.
The culture of PCR Oncology make this a good environment for oncologists who desire a good work-life balance.
