Job Specifics

  • Illinois Neurological Institute & OSF HealthCare are looking for a Epileptologist or Clinical Neurophysiologist to join their growing practice
  • The Illinois Neurological Institute Epilepsy Center is the only level IV Epilepsy Center outside of Chicago
  • Join a dynamic academic environment with opportunities to teach and work with residents at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria
  • Participate in program development efforts, including establishment of new outreach subspecialty clinics, and system-wide epilepsy care
  • Experience with perioperative stereo-electroencephalogram (SEEG) analysis is necessary
  • Experience or willingness to learn the indications and management of VNS, RNS, and DBS for epilepsy is strongly recommended
  • Nurse practitioner and experienced neurosurgical support are in place for epilepsy surgery evaluations
  • Advances neuroimaging includes MRI, fMRI, PET scan, and SPECT

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Doctorate Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
  • Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty (ies).
  • Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
