Internal Medicine opening in Coastal Oregon Astoria, OR; Coastal community 90 miles to Portland OR and Vancouver WA Full time, permanent opening Our new clinic offers a beautiful work environment where you will be able to provide full spectrum care for patients of all ages in an outpatient setting. Teaching opportunities are available in collaboration with local medical schools. This is an employed position with a competitive salary and a generous benefits package. Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed Planetree-designated critical access hospital in Astoria, Oregon. In spite of the small size, there is a lot going on! Hospital has a fully integrated EMR, excellent ancillary support services, on-site rehab services and a Professional Staff that values practicing evidence-based medicine. The hospital employs 30 physicians and midlevel providers in 14 specialties. Our primary care patients have access to onsite specialists in OB/Gyn, urology, orthopedics, general surgery and podiatry, as well as endocrinology, pulmonology, cardiology and oncology. Hospitalists are available to cover inpatient care if desired. Hospital has great relationships with tertiary care centers in Portland, including stroke telemedicine through OHSU. Astoria is a small scenic town on the North Coast of Oregon, nestled between the mountains and the mouth of the mighty Columbia River. Although it is the oldest settlement west of the Mississippi, Astoria is a family-oriented community that boasts an eclectic mixture of restaurants on the river, coffee shops, bakeries, micro-breweries and locally owned boutiques. The community enjoys a thriving local arts scene and numerous festivals throughout the year. Opportunities for outdoor activities abound and include hiking, camping, fishing, kiteboarding and surfing; for those who enjoy winter sports, there are four ski resorts within a 3-hour drive.
