Internal Medicine Core Faculty Position
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Must be a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy with completion of a US Accredited Residency Program and a current Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
Active Florida License or ability to obtain an active Florida License and Florida DEA prior to start is required
Current BLS and ACLS
Preferred Experience:
Previous resident teaching experience is preferred.
Position Description:
Reporting Relationships: The Core Faculty reports directly to the Program Director and is cooperatively supervised by the Associate Program Directors.
Authority: The Core Faculty carries the full authority of the Program Director in implementing the duties and responsibilities delineated in this job description, and has full oversight authority over PGY-1, 2 and 3 residents in implementing their duties and responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Core Faculty is expected to devote at least 40 hours per week to this effort. Time is roughly divided into the following responsibilities:
Education, Research and professional development
Administration
Patient care and clinical supervision
Core Faculty IM Residency Program Expectations
In addition to the expectations as outlined in employee contract and set forth by hospital privileges agreement, the following will be evaluated by residents during clinical rotations and discussed with faculty member during semi-annual faculty evaluation review by the Program Director and/or Associate Program Director.
