Locums – Tacoma, Washington, Hospitalist Openings Clinical Role:

    • July 2024 – Ongoing Need
    • Commitment to an orientation date is required upon offer acceptance. Available dates below:
    • 6/11-12, 6/18-19, 6/25-26, 7/9-10, 7/16-17, 7/23-24, 7/30-31, 8/6-7, 8/13-14
    • 7a-7p and swing shift, every other week
    • No anticipated night needs at this time
    • Minimum shift requirements- 3-7 days blocked preferred every other week, could consider longer blocks of up to 14 days. Preference given to those who can cover Christmas/NYE holidays
    • Setting: Inpatient
    • Duties: Day admitter/rounding- Typical service at all sites is 14-18 as a rounder. As an admitter the panel would be 6-8 patients. We try to keep the panel around 15 for rounder and 7-8 for ED admitter
    • EMR: EPIC
    • Support Staff: Intensivist on staff 24/7 at 2 facilities and the other facilities are accessible via telemedicine after 7p and in person 7a-7p.
    • Reason for Coverage: locum ending
    • Family Practice of IM with years of experience in hospital medicine will be considered
    • Hospitalists responds to codes for our patients
    • The ED usually runs codes, but it is important that all providers are ACLS certified and able to run or participate in codes as needed
    • Board Certified Required
    • State License – WA or IMLC in hand
    • Residency in IM or FM required. Willing to review IM residents in 3rd year of training
    • ACLS, BLS, DEA Required
