**Family Med w/ OB opening - Mount Shasta, CA**
*Locums to Perm - Opportunity for Family Medicine Provider with OB experience to work in the clinic 1-2 weeks/month and hospital. Locum to perm, handling c-sections.*
**Position Details**
- 4 - 10hr shift in clinic/week + OB/Pediatric call
- 1:4 hospital coverage
- 24 hr call coverage
- Schedule: 1-2 weeks Hospital OB Call, 4-8 days in Clinic (consecutive)
- Must handle c-sections, OB procedures, and minor family practice procedures
- 18-25 clinic patients, 0-1 hospital admission, 15-17 patients/day in clinic
- 94 deliveries/year, approx. 40 C-sections/year
- EMR: Cerner, Support staff: Supervisor, MA, clerks
- Patient Type: Female, all adult ages, pregnancies, well women, GYN problems
- Backup: General Surgeon on Call for C-section closure
- Call: 24hr shifts/1 week, concurrent with clinic week
- Hotel call, 14 clinic patients cap
**Requirements:**
- Board Certified
- Active CA license - Required
- ACLS, DEA, PALS (for peds call)
- Must state availability (# of shifts per month)
- Must be qualified to handle c-sections
- Clean malpractice/Background
- COVID Vaccine
- Active CA Licensure

- The hospital is nestled at the base of Mt. Shasta.
- 25 bed, critical access hospital, level III trauma center, with three rural health clinics and a new emergency department.
