A facility in Imperial, Nebraska is looking for someone who would be willing to provide the Emergency Medicine Chief of Staff role for their Critical Access Hospital, the Medical Director for the Rural Health Clinic, and lastly the collaborating Physician for their PAs (3) and NPs (2). Shifts would include clinic and call. They are accepting additional boards as well! Are you interested in this opportunity?

  • Start: ASAP - Ongoing
  • Schedule: 5 days/week every other week (Friday to Tuesday); 3-4 days of call, and 1-2 of clinic work.
  • Onsite: M - F, 9 am – 5 pm; Sat 9 am – 12 pm
  • Call Required - 30 minute response time
  • Coverage would also include the Chief of Staff, Medical Director and collaborating Physician roles.
  • 3 ER patients per day
  • Inpatient floor daily census: 2.7
  • Clinic patients: not to exceed 8/day
  • Required Procedures: Intubating, suturing, lesion removal, chest tubes. Generally do not do central lines.
  • No OB
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Support Staff: Clinical team is available for support. We also have e-ER and e-Hospitalist services through Avera available at all times as support (as little or as much as the Provider would like).
  • Local - Preferred but not required
  • Clean Background - Highly Preferred
  • BC EM/FM (with ER exp), NE License & DEA – or IMLC (LOQ in hand), ACLS, BLS, PALS - Required
  • Credentialing: Full-on insurance credentialing takes 60-90 days. (Hospital privileges can be obtained urgently if needed.)
