Highly regarded orthopedics practice in the Orange County area is seeking an experienced physician assistant to join their team! This is an opportunity to join a large and well-established orthopedics practice, and work one-on-one with a fellowship trained MD in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Responsibilities:

  • Full-time permanent position - Pain Management, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Orange County - Newport Beach
  • Monday-Friday schedule, 40 hours per week
  • No on-call requirements
  • See new patients and follow up patients in outpatient clinic setting
  • Work one-on-one with a fellowship-trained MD as your supervising physician
  • Perform joint and trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and other interventional procedures
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized pain management plans in collaboration with the supervising physician, incorporating pharmacological and non-pharmacological modalities
  • Perform joint and trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and other interventional procedures
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, psychologists, and pain management specialists

Qualifications:

  • Certified Physician Assistant with active California license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA license
  • Previous experience in pain management, orthopedics, PM&R, rheumatology, or other relevant specialties
  • Experience performing procedures such as injections and nerve blocks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient with EMR systems
