Responsibilities:
- Full-time permanent position - Pain Management, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Orange County - Newport Beach
- Monday-Friday schedule, 40 hours per week
- No on-call requirements
- See new patients and follow up patients in outpatient clinic setting
- Work one-on-one with a fellowship-trained MD as your supervising physician
- Perform joint and trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and other interventional procedures
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized pain management plans in collaboration with the supervising physician, incorporating pharmacological and non-pharmacological modalities
- Perform joint and trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and other interventional procedures
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, psychologists, and pain management specialists
Qualifications:
- Certified Physician Assistant with active California license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA license
- Previous experience in pain management, orthopedics, PM&R, rheumatology, or other relevant specialties
- Experience performing procedures such as injections and nerve blocks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient with EMR systems
