Orthopedic Specialty Group seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to their team. The new Physician Assistant will work directly with an upper extremity fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon. This position includes both the OR and the clinic. This is a very busy doctor that handles shoulder, elbow , fractures and some hand cases. The Physician Assistant will be trained to run a parallel clinic to this doctor. The Physician Assistant will provide treatment for simple fractures, overuse injuries, and work with the orthopedic surgeon on more complex fracture problems.

Additional day to day responsibilities include: injections, removing casts and pins, reductions, first assists, consultation, rounds and patient evaluation and education, writing prescriptions and reviewing lab results in a clinic setting. Successful Physician Assistant must be PANCE-Certified/Eligible, organized, self-starter and able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. This doctor will train a new graduate with an orthopedic rotation and a passion for the specialty. This position is located in a great suburban area that is approximately 50 minutes south of Alexandria. The area has strong educational systems, several colleges and lots of things to do.

Compensation: Base salary range: Compensation is very competitive and depends on experience level. There is a sign on or relocation available. Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided.
