Human Resources Assistant (long term contract)

Community Health Care - Corporate Office

**Pay Range: $20 - $23 per hour (depending on experience)**

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring all personal and employment information is up-to-date and accurately filed.
  • Support onboarding processes by preparing new hire documentation, conducting orientation sessions, and

  • Support onboarding processes by preparing new hire documentation, conducting orientation sessions, and coordinating with other departments.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
  • Help organize and coordinate employee training sessions, workshops, and development programs.
  • Process payroll information and ensure timely submission of employee hours and other payroll-related data.
  • Assist with the administration of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Support the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR services.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the HR Manager.

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within Human Resources.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with HR software and databases is a plus.
