Human Resources Assistant (long term contract)

**Pay Range: $20 - $23 per hour (depending on experience)**

- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
- Help organize and coordinate employee training sessions, workshops, and development programs.
- Process payroll information and ensure timely submission of employee hours and other payroll-related data.
- Assist with the administration of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Support the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR services.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within Human Resources.
- Basic understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with HR software and databases is a plus.
