Psychiatric Physician Assistant
Our client is Looking for a Physician Assistant (PA) to join a reputable team of mental health professionals. The Physician Assistant will work in diagnosing and treating patients dealing with mental health diagnoses. We are looking for someone with experience but will consider a new grad willing to learn. Candidate will be responsible for treating and developing treatment plans.
Job Description
· Developing treatment plans and prescribing medications
· Monitoring patients' response to treatment and adjusting treatment plans as needed
· Interpreting psychological tests
· Collaborating with other mental health professionals, such as psychologists and social workers, to coordinate patient care
· Documenting patient medical records
· Communicating with patients and their families regarding their care and treatment plans
· Conducting medication reconciliations and managing medication refills
· Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
· Responding to patient inquiries and concerns
· Maintaining confidentiality and privacy of patient information
Qualifications
· Master's (Required)
· PA Licensure from the Texas State Board of Physician Assistants (Required)
· Certification from NCCPA
· Must have a working knowledge of EMR/EHR
· Bi-lingual is a plus
