**NP/PA Occupational Medicine Opening in Virginia**_x000D_ _x000D_ - Located in Norton, VA - Kingsport 45m, Abingdon 50m_x000D_ - Full-time, permanent position_x000D_ _x000D_ Seeking an experienced, certified, VA licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Occupational Medicine position at our Occupational Medicine clinic-Norton, Virginia. The position is Monday-Friday 8 A.M. - 5 P.M._x000D_ _x000D_ Duties:_x000D_ _x000D_ Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of all occupational illnesses and/or injury._x000D_ Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury and may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards._x000D_ Examine patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment, recommends tests to determine the extent of illness or help diagnose condition._x000D_ Performs OSHA regulated testing/exams to include DOT physicals and medical surveillance exams (training available)._x000D_ Have or develop understanding of OSHA and other federal and state guidelines._x000D_ Provide pre-employment physicals to determine work ability._x000D_ Develop relationships with local companies that may include onsite visits or presentations._x000D_ Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, diagnostic testing or related therapeutic procedures and appropriately refers to specialty as needed._x000D_ Works under the direction of the occupational medicine medical director._x000D_ _x000D_ Experience:_x000D_ _x000D_ Occupational Medicine, Ortho, ED or Primary Care experience preferred. _x000D_ This position involves providing treatment for workers compensation injuries, new hire physicals, specialty exams, develop company relationships to better understand work environments and OSHA recordable.
