Job Description:
Advanced Practice Provider (APP; nurse practitioner or physician assistant) job opening at a busy hip and knee preservation, sports medicine, and joint replacement practice. This APP will join the Utah Valley Orthopedic and Sports Medicine team at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah.The APP will work collaboratively with a dual-fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon to provide care for hip and knee patients spanning both the preservation and sports medicine side to joint replacements. While the APP will primarily provide care in the outpatient clinic, this provider can also anticipate rounding on surgical patients and 1-2 days per week as first-assist in surgical procedures in the OR.
At full-time, the APP can expect to work standard business hours. The on-call expectation is participation in rotating call schedule with Ortho APPs at Utah Valley.
An ideal candidate will have prior orthopedic and/or surgical experience.

Job Essentials
This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Consultation and Referral Plan (DOPL) or other similar documentation as appropriate. As part of that patient care, this position is accountable to: deliver optimal patient care through effective clinical practice; education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others; consultation with other healthcare providers; and maintain current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes.
