A small community hospital located 1-hour from Redding, California, is seeking a 26-week, Internal Medicine Locum Nurse Practitioner to join their provider team! Lodging provided!

Pay Rate: $100.00 per hour (W2)

  • Under the supervision of our Medical Director, we're seeking a dedicated Locum Nurse Practitioner to join our team at a small community hospital located about 1 hour from Redding, California. You will play a key role in providing top-notch healthcare services, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and counseling.

Qualifications:

  • Current NP license in California.
  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • DEA Registration.
  • AANP or ANCC certification.
  • 3+ years in Acute or Geriatric/SNF care or equivalent preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide healthcare services to patients and residents, following physician-established guidelines.
  • Conduct patient rounds in Med/Surg Acute and Long-Term Care Facility.
  • Perform physical exams, obtain medical histories, and identify health risks.
  • Order, interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests; diagnose illnesses, formulate treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies based on patient diagnoses.
  • Offer health education and counseling, promoting positive health behaviors.
  • Collaborate with physicians and health team for optimal patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, policies, and confidentiality.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
