Schedule :

  • Breakdown of Clinic Days/Sessions and/or OR Days: Variable, based on which shifts are uncovered by employed APP Schedule of Days/Times Needed To Work/ Shift Hours: ED APP shift 10a-10p (7 days/wk)

Submission Requirements :

  • Qualified and licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess and manage patient care independently.

Certification Requirements :

  • Does the Provider Have Particular Fellowship? No required. ED fellowship would ideal.
  • Will You Accept Experience Over Fellowship? Yes
  • Board Status Requirement (BC/BE): N/A
  • Certifications Required? BLS, ACLS, PALS?? Per network policy

Other Info :

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients, working closely with the Emergency Department Physician team.
  • Respond promptly to calls from the nursing staff, effectively managing changes in patient conditions.
  • Order and interpret tests and images, and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Prepare patient discharges, including writing prescriptions, discharge summaries, arranging follow-up appointments, and educating patients and their families.
  • Maintain a high standard of patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the Emergency Department.
  • Procedures Provider Will Be REQUIRED To Perform: Variable, supervised by physician
  • Procedures Preferred: Suturing, Abscess drainage, fracture reduction & splint application
  • Anticipated Procedures/Surgeries per Week: Variable
  • Patient Load: Variable - supervised and co-managed by physician. Usually around 15 per shift

EMR System: EPIC
