Cardiology NP/PA Position in NW Phoenix Suburb

Excellent opportunity to join this well-established and highly reputable cardiology practice, dedicated to providing exceptional cardiovascular care to our patients. We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a combination of clinic and inpatient settings, managing a diverse mix of acute and chronic cardiology cases. Position Overview:

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our group, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing cardiovascular conditions in collaboration with our experienced physicians. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including clinic consultations, inpatient care, and on-call duty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic cardiology cases.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
  • Prescribe medications and provide patient education.
  • Provide ongoing patient support and follow-up care.
  • Utilize the GEMMS EMR system specifically designed for cardiology to maintain accurate patient records.

Qualifications:

  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure in AZ.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to our practice's protocols and procedures.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position with a combination of clinic and inpatient work.
  • One weekend call every 4 weeks with a half day off the following Friday.
  • Average of 13-16 patients in the hospital per day.
