In the words of Dr. Robert Amster, our founder, “For me, the practice of medicine has proven to be an infinitely gratifying job. After all, no man, woman or child likes to be sick or injured. Every single time we can help another human being feel better, it gives us a good feeling in return.”
Dr. Amster has been a board certified Emergency Physician and Occupational Medicine Physician for over 30 years. The planning for an innovative new Urgent Care model began nearly 10 years ago. Since then, the focus of Your Neighborhood Urgent Care (YNUC) and its Urgent Care Centers has been to design a framework for excellence – one that would take the quality of our medical care to the highest possible level.
More than anything, it was the sheer quantity of positive feedback, both from our patients and the community, that has fueled YNUC’s growth.
Dr. Amster: “When you think about it, the whole concept of giving back is very healthy. We have now opened 10 Urgent Care Centers throughout Orange and San Diego counties…so we must be doing the right thing. We believe our brand of medical care is where the industry is headed. And we are proud to be leading the way.”
