Job Responsibilities
As the Emergency Department Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the clinical performance of the EMS team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Clinical Leadership: Direct and lead the clinical performance of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Coordination of Scheduling and Staffing: Assist in coordinating scheduling and staffing to maintain optimal coverage and efficient operations within the 14-bed Emergency Department.
- Policy Development: Establish, maintain, update, and implement departmental policies, procedures, and protocols to achieve and uphold high standards of care and operational efficiency.
- Quality Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and overall departmental performance.
- Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships within the community and collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure the emergency department meets the healthcare needs of the population.
- Educational Leadership: Provide educational leadership to the clinical staff, ensuring continuous professional development and adherence to the latest best practices in emergency medicine.

Qualifications
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Active medical license in the state of New York.
- Proven leadership experience in emergency medicine.
