Our client, a well known medical center in eastern Pennsylvania, has an opening for physicians, fellows, and PGY3s with an exciting overnight shift opportunity in Philadelphia. This level 1 trauma center has recently added a beautiful 178,000 square-foot, acute care building to its campus, and they are one of few hospitals in the country to create a coronary care unit within the facility.

Service Volume:

  • On average there are 50-60 patients on the service (covered at night by 2 - 3 people. This can be much less on certain days, like weekends and holidays. (This includes CT surgery)
  • The number of night admissions on average is 5-6. As with anywhere, the number can be higher or lower on a given night.

Job Responsibilities

No procedures required! Your main responsibilities include follow-ups, addressing PRN issues, and providing floor coverage to Cardiology and CT surgery,  in addition to completing H&Ps and entering orders for new admissions on Cardiology and CT surgery.

Qualifications

Active/Unrestricted PA MD/DO License
Internal Medicine trained (no surgery). Can be IM resident, fellow, or finished training.
DEA
Must be comfortable with cardiology/CT surgery patients (attendings are available overnight)
Updated CV with mm/yyyy format
Clean malpractice/background history preferred

Working Hours

Part-time and full-time openings available.
Shifts run from 6pm to 7am or 7pm to 7am.
